The Building has started

This was 8:30 AM

This was at 5:30 PM

I didn't arrive on the site until 7:45 PM today after the building started today March 31.  So I was not there very long before dark set in.  It looks like only one wall was not up along the back where the bay windows are located.  Tomorrow they should start the upstairs.

The Slab

They poured the slab on Friday everything seemed to go good.

Ready to drop the slab for the wood floor.

We are having wood floors in the great room, study, and the hall.  So they are going to drop the slab in those areas.

Getting the foundation ready

The foundation is just about ready.

 

The pad was a little higher then we thought it would have to be.  We did try to save as many trees as we could by putting orange fence around the trees.

I brought Dad out to see how the house was going; so I got some expert option, Dad has built three houses.

We had to bring some dirt into the back to build up the back yard.

This house is being built for The Crabtree Family.

The Pad is set

They brought 103 loads of clay and sand mix to create the pad.  They had a tractor to move the dirt around and  a roller to pack the dirt.

The Culvert is set

The county set a 30 inch culvert on Wednesday March 9th. 

Lot is cleared

The lot is cleared and ready to set the culvert on Monday and haul dirt in to set the pad on Wednesday.
